➤ Rental Payment
• All rental fees, deposits, and associated charges must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the hire.

➤ Refundable Deposit
• A security deposit is required and will be refunded upon safe return of the vehicle to Ryde Rent A Car’s Head Office at Airport Road, Katunayake 11450, or to an authorized agent or representative. 
• For credit/debit card payments, refunds will be processed within 10 working days.

➤ Fuel and Repairs

• The cost of fuel, lubricants, and minor repairs up to 35 USD will be borne by the Hirer.

➤ Daily Maintenance

• The Hirer must ensure daily checks and maintenance of the vehicle’s oil, water, spare wheel, jack, and tire air pressure.

➤ Authorized Drivers

• The vehicle may only be driven by the individual(s) listed in the rental agreement. Additional drivers will incur extra charges. 

• The vehicle must not be sub-rented or transferred to third parties.

➤ Early Return or Damage

• No refunds will be provided if the vehicle is damaged or returned early before the agreed rental period ends.

➤ Accident Reporting

• In the event of an accident, the Hirer must immediately notify Ryde Rent A Car, the insurance provider, and the nearest police station.

• A police report and insurance statement must be obtained before returning the vehicle. 

• Charges will continue until all required documents are submitted.

➤ Prohibited Use

• The Hirer agrees not to use the vehicle for illegal purposes, transporting pets or wild animals, or violating any local traffic laws, including the Motor Traffic Act of Sri Lanka.

➤ Insurance Rejection

• The Hirer is liable for full costs of damage and rental if an insurance claim is rejected due to incorrect reporting, driving under the influence, or any other invalid documentation.

➤ No Liability

• Ryde Rent A Car is not responsible for any compensation or costs incurred by the Hirer or vehicle user.

➤ Abandonment

• The Hirer must not leave the vehicle unattended or abandon it. Any resulting damages will be charged to the Hirer.

➤ Damage Responsibility

The Hirer is responsible for damage caused by:

• Tire blowouts or punctures

• Running the vehicle without oil

• Use of incorrect fuel

• Neglect of water/oil maintenance

• Underside damages

➤ Rental Extension

• Extensions are only granted after advance payment.

➤ Interior/Exterior Damage

• The Hirer is responsible for any damage or loss to the vehicle’s interior, exterior, accessories, and remote keys.

➤ Vehicle Cleaning Fee

• A cleaning fee of 25 USD will be charged if the vehicle is returned unwashed.

➤ Cancellation Policy

➤ Booking Confirmation

• A booking will be considered confirmed only once it has been officially sent via email with full rental details.

➤ Quotation Validity

• Quoted prices are valid for 7 days only.

➤ Applicable Taxes

• All government taxes (VAT + SSCL) are included in the above rental rate.
